39 Nonprofit Organizations and 27 Creative Agencies Honored at the 2017 Philly Awards
Susan G. Komen Greater Kansas City Collects Nonprofit Connect Philly Awards
for Marketing (Charlie Hustle Campaign) & Social Media (Komen KC Night at The “K”)
Kansas City, MO – Nonprofit Connect honored 39 nonprofit organizations and 27 creative agencies and freelancers for excellence in marketing and communications at the 2017 Philly Awards on Wednesday, November 15 at Boulevard Brewing Company.
“We’re honored to be recognized for the communications work we create in promoting ways to engage and support the mission of Susan G. Komen,” said Michael A. Levine, Komen Kansas City Communications Director. “To be able to partner with local entities like Charlie Hustle and the Kansas City Royals helps amplify our message to a much larger community and allows us to reach new and unique audiences. Being showcased among so many local nonprofits is truly humbling and we are fortunate to be among many other great organizations working to make Kansas City even better.”
Any and all nonprofit organizations were invited to submit marketing pieces in a variety of categories. Nonprofit Connect received over 180 entries from 80 different nonprofits in 2017. Entries were evaluated by Nonprofit Connect’s judging panel featuring local marketing experts in the nonprofit and for-profit industries. Judges awarded first place (Gold) and second place (Silver) entries in fifteen categories, honored top-scoring entries with a contest-wide Award of Distinction, and selected the Best in Show entry. The People’s Choice Award was selected via social media in the weeks leading up to the event.
Now in their 15th year, the Philly Awards celebrate local nonprofits driving social change through outstanding achievements in communications and marketing. Nonprofit Connect’s signature contest enhances the image of nonprofit organizations and elevates the professionalism of nonprofit communications in our community, according to a recent Philly Award winner.
