Friends for Life Cancer Support Network – Helps people recently diagnosed with cancer and their families navigate treatment and their options by pairing them with a trained survivor of a similar experience so they can face cancer with someone who’s been there.

Gilda’s Club – Gilda’s Club provides a comprehensive program of emotional support and education for those impacted by cancer. Education and Healthy lifestyle support programs are free of charge but require an appointment.

HIS Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, INC. – Blog site for support of male breast cancer.

Imerman Angels – Free personalized one-on-one care support.

Living Beyond Breast Cancer – Provides programs/services to those impacted by cancer. Inclusive of men diagnosed with breast cancer.

Miami County Cancer Foundation – The Foundation serves Miami County including Paola, Louisburg South Spring Hill, and Osawatomie. They work to link cancer patients to resources in this area.

Mosaic Life Care – The Care Center serves Buchanan County, MO. The Center offers personalized Care to include: support resources for fatigue, follow up care and survivorship care plans.

North Kansas City Hospital – Offers a program that addresses physical therapy, diet, social work, and nurse navigators and support group.

Pink-Link – Online breast cancer support network associated with Beyond Boobs (a live support group out on the East Coast).

Richard and Annette Bloch Family Foundation – Helping people diagnosed with cancer achieve the best and quickest possibility of recovery. Provides the ability to talk with someone who has beaten the same cancer diagnosis.

Reach to Recovery – Kansas City area local program sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Trained volunteers visit women after their breast cancer surgery, and provide information about breast reconstruction for those who request it. Reach to Recovery

Saint Luke’s Health Systems – The Health System has multiple locations: Saint Luke’s East (Lee’s Summit, MO), Saint Luke’s South (Overland Park, KS), Saint Luke’s North (Kansas City, MO), and Saint Luke’s KC (Kansas City, MO). Services through the Health System are sponsored by Gilda’s Club and Look Good Feel Better.

Sara Cannon Institute of HCA Midwest Health Jackson, Cass Counties MO, Johnson County KS – Includes Cancer Institutes of HCA Midwest Health (Centerpoint Medical Center Belton Regional, Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center. Overland Park Regional Center and Research Medical Center). The Institute offers free resources, patient navigators, oncology social workers, nutritional support, rehab/ exercise, art therapy and support for survivorship.

Shawnee Mission Breast Cancer Connection Support Group – Breast Cancer Connection meets the second Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30 pm. Women at any stage of their breast cancer journey are welcome to attend.

The Keeler Women’s Center – Professional volunteers and other non-profit organizations to provide a variety of free programs and services to empower women in Kansas City through education, advocacy, personal and spiritual development.

Turning Point – A gathering place for individuals living with a serious or chronic physical illness. Their programs are offered at no charge but registration is required 48 hours in advance. In connection with The University of Kansas Health System.

Victory in the Valley, Inc. – A Non-Profit Cancer Support Organization offering support in the Wichita, KS area, assistance and encouragement to cancer patients/survivors and families. YMCA Kansas City – A 12-week workout program that helps cancer survivors understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle to improve their overall health. Free of cost to anyone 18 or older. Check website for participating locations.

Young Survival Coalition – Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is a national organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women and breast cancer. YSC’s Face to Face (F2F) Networking program offers a young survivor an opportunity to connect with other young survivors in her community. Their number is 877-972-1011.
