Statement from Komen KSWMO CEO on COVID-19 Response

During this time of extreme uncertainty – we want you to know that Susan G. Komen Kansas + Western Missouri is committed more than ever to finding solutions to the challenges we face.

I want to start off by thanking you.  Thank you for being our champion and for making the fight to end breast cancer a priority.  We are so lucky to have your trust, commitment, and support.

I want to be extremely transparent with each of you as an investor in our mission.  We need you now more than ever.  We are in challenging and uncertain times that will require all of us to step up to a higher calling.  Those that we serve are counting on us.

On April 1st – we will launch our Breast Health Assistance Fund.

As COVID-19 continues to spread – those that are vulnerable to economic hardships, will be impacted the most – the Breast Health Assistance Fund will be one solution we will offer to help them.

That is why I am asking you to help us assist those that need it during this national crisis.  The Breast Health Assistance Fund will provide financial support for those with breast cancer in our region.

Breast Cancer survivors will be given $500 to help with everyday expenses.  Cash at this time, while they are fighting breast cancer and during this national crisis – can be a matter of life or death.  This year, more than 5,500 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer in Kansas + Missouri.  They need our help.

The work we do at Susan G. Komen Kansas + Western Missouri matters.  It matters to the moms, dads and families who are fighting for their lives.   They are counting on us to help end this disease forever and provide support during this difficult time our nation is facing.

Won’t you help us?  I ask you to consider making an investment in the Breast Health Assistance Fund to help those that will be impacted the hardest Our commitment to you is full transparency, big impact and service to our community.

Thank you all for your commitment, support and trust in us.  These are hard times, but together I know we can accomplish anything.

With sincere gratitude,
